Kitchen Makeover

Peni and I lived with my Mom for about 4 years until we decided it was time to get a place of our own. My Mother has helped our little family out with so much and words can't express our appreciation for everything she has helped us with along the way.

House hunting sucked! We were lucky enough to get the house tax credit. Peni and I told my Mom when we moved out of her place that if we qualified for the tax credit, we would remodel her kitchen. We know she uses her kitchen a lot and knew it needed some upgrades. THANKS OBAMA! :)

After paying off some bills we were able to start w/ Mom's kitchen Makeover. Wish we had enough to hire someone, but because of our budget we had to do it ourselves. It's always good to spend less anyways!

Two weeks ago my Mom's kitchen looked like this..........

LOVELY AYE?

Before we started we thought it wouldn't be to bad! OMG! The guys were working and so my sisters and I had to put on our dirty shoes and get things done while the men were at work. We thought that ripping out the old tile was it for the floor. The floor underneath the tile was OLD and needed to be replaced to. We ripped it all out. Feeeeew! Thanks to the guys who showed us girls there was a easier way. hahaha! They give us a look afterwords. As if.....Give us a break, we're ladies NOT men! hahaha! We sure had to put Men shoes on the past couple of weeks! hahaha! We replaced a few of the walls and moved one wall back to give my Mom more space.

It was deff the hardest thing I've had to help with in a while and it was well WORTH IT. The kitchen it almost complete. Just a few things here and there....

Two weeks without a kitchen? Imagine that? :( Thanks to everyone who helped make Mom's kitchen BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE IT! She LOVES IT! :)

Pumpkins......

My little munchkins decided they wanted to paint their pumpkins for their baby brother Saia, Grandpa Saia(my Dad) and Great Grandpa Mapa(My Grandfather).
Who Paints pumpkins at the cemetery?
We do! Feel a lot closer to baby Saia
BenG working on Baby Saia's pumpkin
Fanga painting a pumpkin for Grandpa Saia
Anela being so serious w/ Grandpa Mapa's pumpkin...ha!
Hey! Don't mix green with red..ha!

The kids had a great time painting pumpkins. In fact, they started naming everyone else in the cemetery that we forgot to get a pumpkin for. My kids are still young and I want them to always remember their little brother. Fanga goes to school a block away from the cemetery so after dropping him off or picking him up we stop by the cemetery. I want to be able to close my eyes years from now and be able to remember my sons face, smell and features. I want the same for my kids. They have memories with him and I want them to ALWAYS remember the time they spent with their younger brother.

New to the Blog World :)

Why would I ever join the Blog world when my least favorite subject was English? It still is! I hated reports, lectures, essays, writing, papers, spelling, etc. Basiclly Basically hated anything to do w/ the Subject English! Ha! I sure hope there's spellcheck up here. hahaha!

I've seen my sister Jenn Tukuafu blog for the Loooooooongest time and loved reading her blogs. I could never see myself blogging, but HERE I AM!  Thanks Jenn! Now, DO NOT correct me in ANY kind of grammer, punctuation or ANYTHING I'm doin' wrong! bwahaha!

INTRODUCING.........(US)

Fairy Tales do come true..........
It was a beautiful clear night in Salt Lake City, Utah. 'Inga decided to put her dancing shoes on and hit the dance floor for a change. Full house, lights dimmed, and the music just right. Dancing with my cousin and friend's when Benjamin approached me and refused to let me switch dancing partners.

The night was over and after getting a chance to step away from him for a minute I never walked so fast in my life with heels. haha! My cousin Lesieli and I walked quickly to our car. Feeew! Got the car started and as soon as I press on the Gas, guess who runs right in front of the car? BUSTED! We wernt quick enough. haha! My cousins gives him my digits and lets just say from there...They lived happily ever after! I guess I'm glad he caught me instead of having to find the princess with size 9 heels! hahaha!

We have been Blessed with four Beatiful Children.
Fanga-O-Taha, Anela Meilani, Benjamin Jr, and Siosaia Tevita
Our oldest Fanga is in 2nd Grade and is a bright young boy. This little boy will work for the game world one day. :) He enjoys playing video games, loves candy and enjoys going to school. He loves helping his brother and sister and is really good at teasing. Ugh! I wonder who he gets that from.

Anela Meilani was named after Peni's oldest sister. Loved the idea behind the her name. Anela Meilani translates into Angel from Heaven and also has a part of my Mother and Peni's Mothers name. ANE from LuseANE and LA from VioLA. She is truly my BIG HELPER! She has BRAINS! She loves to learn new things and always wants to write or pretend she's reading. She loves puting puzzles together and also helping her brothers with WHATEVER!

Benjmain Jr. is full in ENERGY and LOVES to EAT! He puts a smile on my face each morning when he smiles for a quick second just to get me to smile back at him. :) He is the bully of my kids. Always finding something to say or do to get the others mad. He's also very playful and friendly with others. One word for him ROUDY! :)

Our youngest Siosaia Tevita

Our youngest Baby Saia has returned to our Father in Heaven on August 01, 2010. He was diagnosed with a few things. Digeorge Syndrom, 22q11 Deletion and had connective tissue disorders. His main struggle was breathing. Baby left us a week before he would be 5 months and has taught us so much. We will never forget the time we had with him and are truly grateful for The great plan of salvation. We will be with him again. :) Love and miss you BABY!

Our Baby was with us for a short time but left a BIG IMPRESSION....
Until we meet again.......................
